Swearing-In Ceremony for Judge Ted Tow III

DENVER — Friday, Dec.15, 2017 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced the appointment of Judge Ted Tow III to serve as a judge for the Colorado Court of Appeals. He will fill a vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Dennis A. Graham.

Tow was appointed a District Court Judge in the 17th Judicial District in 2010. He currently presides over a criminal docket and handles appeals from municipal and county court cases. He previously presided over domestic relations and civil dockets. From 2008 to 2010, Tow served as the Executive Director of the Colorado District Attorneys' Council (CDAC) and also served as the CDAC’s Deputy Executive Director (2007-2008). Before that, Tow was a Senior Deputy District Attorney (2005-2007) and a Deputy District Attorney in the 17th Judicial District (2000-2005). He also was an associate at Sherman & Howard, LLC in Denver (1998-2000), at Matkov, Salzman, Madoff & Gunn in Chicago (1996-1998), and at Dickinson, Wright, Moon, Van Dusen & Freeman in Chicago (1994-1996). Tow earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in 1989 and his law degree from Wayne State University Law School in 1994.
